PROJECT MANAGER

August 30, 2007 - M.T.H. Electric Trains is currently seeking an HO Project Manager to join our proven team. This is a permanent, full-time, salaried position, which reports to the Vice President of Production.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • This individual will assist in the development of a variety of model railroad products through the creation of production portfolios for each project. These portfolios will contain the necessary information required to begin actual product development, including but not limited to extensive historical prototype research, market viability research and extensive product definition details.
  • The candidate will assist in the production process by working with production engineers to ensure that the product meets the specifications defined in the portfolio including but not limited to appearance, operation and quality assurance.

    Qualifications:

    The ideal candidate will have extensive historical knowledge of railroad rolling stock both in real life and in model railroading, particularly in HO, as well as possess the following characteristics:

  • Strong written & verbal communication skills.
  • Team player who can work with a wide variety of people across the organization to get the job done. Prior experience communicating with all levels of an organization is a plus.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to coordinate and track the details of multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that high quality results are delivered on time.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office.

    The ideal candidate will have a positive, team-player attitude and possess the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines while maintaining composure in stressful situations. Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
