Perhaps the most sought-after and rarest of all tinplate creations, the 1929 Prosperity Set created by Harry Ives was to serve as a symbol of the company's bright future and past achievements. Ready for delivery in the summer of 1929, Ives was unable to forecast the devastation set to wreak havoc on the U.S. economy as a result of the September "Black Friday" stock market crash. The resulting pressure from his creditors forced Harry Ives from the company and made this $100.00 train set a timeless collector piece.
Recreated in copper and nickel finish, the #1134 locomotive and 3-car passenger set has been recreated in stunning detail.
